On behalf of the entire NEMPAC organization, I want to say thank you to all of our friends and neighbors who came out Saturday night for our 10th Anniversary fundraiser at the Fairmont Battery Wharf.
It was an outstanding party in a gorgeous venue, with many generous people joining in the celebration. We enjoyed music from our students and instructors and and a truly animated crowd.
We paid tribute to everyone who has made this last decade the wonderful success it has been — our board members past and present, our instructors, our donors, but especially our founders. To Barb, Gina, Tricia, Lidia, and Cathy – your neighborhood thanks you, the many children and families you’ve touched thank you, and I personally thank you for fostering the growth of NEMPAC through it’s nascent years to the thriving 10 year old we now know.
We look forward to another decade and of service to the the arts community of the North End and thank you very much for your participation. If you are interested in being part of the next chapter of NEMPAC, please contact us.
Also, If you see Melanie Crocini or Becca Griffin on the street, stop them and thank them for all the energy they delivered for the fundraiser, our organization and our neighborhood. Also, thank our event committee members Susan Ward – who worked to get donations and coordinated with the Fairmont Battery Wharf staff (and their top notch catering people) with the talented Margaret Ris, who personally made all the stunning flower arrangements. Both of them worked the front tables all night greeting every guest, running the raffles and auctions and making it all look easy.
Honestly, the fundraiser could not have happened without these people. I am in awe of their strength and abilities and I am privileged to be in their company.
Thank you all!
Matthew Black
