PERFORMATHON DETAILS:
ABOUT: The North End Music & Performing Arts Center’s (NEMPAC’s) annual Performathon will feature over 70 student and faculty performers of all ages and abilities, with the goal of raising funds to support NEMPAC’s Educational Programming and Tuition Assistance Program. Returning for its second year at the Boston Public Market, this day-long fundraiser includes individual singers, dancers, and instrumentalists, as well as student ensembles representing NEMPAC school partner run programs like the Eliot K-8 School Band and Strings Ensemble, the Harvard Kent School Dance Troupe, and NEMPAC’s youth programs including the Musical Theatre Troupe cast of Oliver! Jr., and Make a Beat digital music classes.
Special to this event is youth and teens supporting access to music and arts education for their peers. This year, 827 students are receiving free or discounted tuition at 13 locations in the North End, Charlestown, and East Boston neighborhoods.
To support the Performathon, please consider attending the event on April 6th—either in-person or virtually via Instagram—or by pledging a student or group online now through their individual “Pledge Me” campaign pages. See those links below!
All donations made to NEMPAC supporting the Performathon are fully tax-deductible under charity ID 04-3545228. If you have any questions or need more information on how to donate to the Performathon to support Educational Programming and our Tuition Assistance Program, please contact Development Manager, Pamela Feo at pfeo@nempacboston.org.
