The North End Music & Performing Arts Center is thrilled to announce the 2019-20 NEMPAC Performance Season that features both local Boston professional artists and musicians, as well as highly acclaimed musicians from America and around the world in vibrant, exciting artistic programs. Unique to our concerts are the intimate, non-traditional performance venues used in Boston’s treasured North End as well as returning to the majestic, historic Great Hall at Faneuil Hall for our grander projects that are beloved by the community. We hope you will join us this year for the excitement!

With the Founder and Director of the Pittsburgh Jewish Music Festival, cellist Aron Zelkowicz, artists Christina Wright-Ivanova and acclaimed mezzo-soprano Lynn Torgove will perform important Jewish works by unrepresented composers such as Stutschewsky, Joan Szymko, Gerald Cohen and Julius Chajes. This stunningly powerful and beautiful program will educate and inspire audiences about Jewish heritage and culture through music.


Handel’s Messiah, Part 1

The North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) and the Boston Landmarks Orchestra co-present their annual Messiah Concert this year with a special prelude from the NEMPAC Youth Choir. The concert will feature the Boston Landmarks Orchestra and One City Choir, NEMPAC Youth Choir, & Professional Soloists.


“Seeking Sanctuary”: A Viola and Piano Chamber Recital celebrating Black Artistry through Music

This concert features two performers who are local landmarks in the classical music scene in our city – Ashleigh Gordon, violist, an outstanding viola player and Director of the award-winning group ‘Castle of our Skins’ – and celebrated chamber musician and pianist Joy Cline Phinney.


Amore Valentine’s Dinner & Opera Concert

This annual winter favorite combines a delicious three-course Italian meal with a unique musical program featuring the different Facets of Love. Alongside some of our favorite Amore-inspired operatic classics, guests will hear some new musical selections and will be entertained throughout the evening. Private & group tables are available.

Pass holders receive special pre-concert wine & cheese reception access to the Concert Series, all ticket processing fees waived, and ticket convenience arrangements. Should pass holders need to forego a ticket, it is optional to receive a donation receipt for the value of the tickets or transfer them. Subscribers and sponsors are acknowledged in all programs.
