About Jack Byrne

Jack Byrne is a Boston-based singer/songwriter, guitarist, and banjo player, and has been teaching guitar and voice in the Boston area for 6 years. Jack received his Bachelors in Music from UMass Amherst, and his Masters in Voice Performance from Longy School of Music of Bard College. As a songwriter, Jack is influenced by artists such as Iron and Wine, Simon and Garfunkel, and Kaki King, and his guitar arrangements add a unique flair to his indie-folk songs. His latest album, “Roads” is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms. When Jack is not playing solo, he can be found as guitarist and vocalist for ‘90s pop/rock cover band Pop-Up Radio, banjo player for folk-rock band Nico Rivers and the Black Grass, and he was recently on tour with alternative folk band, Banded Starling. Jack also sings in the Old North Church choir, plays in Musical Theater pit bands, and is the host of the First Friday Open Mic at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts.
