Join us for this “Make Your Own Show” Workshop collaboration with Boston Lyric Opera for youth ages 8 – 11, on Saturday, March 7th, 2 pm – 4 pm, at NEMPAC Studios on 9 Hull St, Boston.
Are you a musician or singer who likes to jam with your musical friends? Have you ever wanted to write your own song? Do you have Hamilton-esque dreams of creating your own musical or opera someday? In this Boston Lyric Opera and NEMPAC collaboration, the instructor will lead students in songwriting and musical storytelling for this 2-hour intensive. Working in groups, students will learn how to use their own instruments to craft their own musical story using the elements of beat, rhythm, text, pitch, dynamics, and instrumentation.
