NEMPAC will be at the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park’s celebration, Monday, October 11, 2010
At Christopher Columbus Park, North End, 10:45 am – 3:00 pm (No Rain Date)
The fun begins at 10:45 am when young and old will assemble for a very short parade through the Park led by Mayor Thomas Menino, the Italian Consulate and other dignitaries. The parade will begin at 11:00 am and conclude with the Mayor laying a wreath at the base of the statue of Christopher Columbus.
From 11:30 am to 3:00 pm NEMPAC’s Instrument Petting Zoo, and face painters will be part of the days events. Other events going on at the park include a marionette show, a magician, skits, songs, activities, and games.
At 2:30, NEMPAC’s Rock Bands will perform under the direction of Jeremy Sarzana.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park through the generous donations of local businesses and neighbors.
