Amy Brown is a Boston-based professional dancer, choreographer and educator. On her first day of dance class at age 3, she instantly fell in love with the art form. Amy is well versed in all areas of dance, and has extensive training in classical ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary, acrobatics and cheer/pom. Additionally, she is professionally trained in both the International Latin and Standard Styles of Ballroom Dance. Amy is a graduate of Kansas State University, where she was a Hotchkiss Academic Scholar and a four-year member and captain of the nationally ranked Classy Cats Dance Team. Amy has been seen on numerous television appearances; including ESPN’s College Game Day, as well as a judge on Lifetime’s “Dance Moms.” Above all, her first love is being “Miss Amy” and teaching her beloved students of all ages the wonderful art of dance. Amy has been on the staffs of several nationally ranked studios in both the Midwest and East Coast; guiding her students to numerous national titles as well as seeing many of her students move on to professional dance careers. Her students and teaching techniques have been featured in both Dance Spirit and Dance Teacher Magazines. Amy is the creator and director for the Fairytale Fridays Charity, which brings dance and movement to the patients at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children. Her charity work has received numerous accolades and press for demonstrating the profound positive affects that dance can have on children. Amy feels truly blessed to work in such a wonderful industry and share her love of dance and movement.
