Peter Sumner

Peter is an innovative cellist from Durham, NC, who studies a wide variety of styles and performs regularly in many different genres. In the past year, Peter has been working closely with Naseem Alatrash, Danilo Perez, John Pattituci, Joe Lovano, and others at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute. Peter has performed across North Carolina, Boston, and Valencia, Spain, and is also an active session musician, having played in over 170 studio sessions. He can be heard on many released records and he loves collaborating with songwriters and artists.
