Tuition Assistance: NEMPAC offers a 10% off sibling discount for our programs. Each additional sibling receives this discount.
NEMPAC Youth Scholarship Fund: Effective July 1, 2017, NEMPAC awards over $7,500 in children’s music scholarships each year. These are financial-need based scholarships. We feel every child should have an equal opportunity to enhance their quality of life and development by studying music. Interested families must request a scholarship application and provide tax information from the prior year. Eligible families will receive assistance depending on our funds and their financial need.

Types of Scholarships
NEMPAC Fund Needs-Based Scholarships: Discounted tuition for any student from any neighborhood or school can apply!
The NEMPAC Scholarship Fund provides annual financial assistance to youth each year through an application process reviewed by our NEMPAC Scholarship Committee. Each year, funds are raised at our annual Performathon in April to support the fund.
Geraldine Marshall Scholarship: A full scholarship to four youth per year, must be under the age of 18 and a resident of the North End. Must apply by August 26th!
The Geraldine Marshall Scholarship Fund founded in 2014, continues to preserve the legacy of a woman who loved children and the arts. The Scholarship was established by Geraldine’s son, Representative Aaron Michlewitz. Ms. Marshall, who passed away at the age of 68, was born in Dorchester in 1946, moved to the North End at the age of 21 and settled here for almost 50 years before her passing.
Annie Flaherty Music Scholarship: Student must be enrolled in the Eliot School and participate in the band, ensemble, or private lessons at NEMPAC
Awards are given first-come, first-serve.
501(c)(3) Status: NEMPAC is classified as a public charity under section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Code. All contributions to NEMPAC are acknowledged in writing. Our Tax ID is 04-3545228. NEMPAC programming supported by the Boston Cultural Council (BCC ).
