Our favorite performance event of the year is returning on Saturday, March 17th at the Boston Public Market! Together, NEMPAC students and faculty will perform for three hours straight to show their support for music scholarships at this years PERFORMATHON! Every child or teens life should be enriched by MUSIC – and our scholarship fund truly makes our music and arts programming accessible to ALL!

More info on this event is below. We hope you will come out, as a participant, an audience member, or supporter!

The North End Music & Performing Arts Center is hosting its 4th annual Performathon for Music Scholarships on Saturday, March 17th at the The Kitchen | Boston Public Market. The event will consist of a three-hour show from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM of back-to-back performances by NEMPAC students and faculty. This year’s event is free, open to the public, and will include a festive kids activity table, delicious refreshments, and raffles.

Students and faculty participants of the Performathon are collecting pledges through the “Pledge Me” campaign, which runs from Monday, February 12th to Saturday, March 17th. Students are suggested to collect at least three pledges to support their peers who may need scholarship assistance. To support your musicians, please visit www.nempacboston.org/PLEDGEME.

The NEMPAC Music Scholarship Fund provides need-based tuition assistance to students. Scholarships are allocated based on need and awarded by an anonymous committee who thoroughly reviews all applications. This year, due to the success of the 2017 Performathon and support from our sponsors, NEMPAC allocated $10,000 to the fund and has supported over 15 students. We want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our sponsors for their continuous support.

All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the NEMPAC Scholarship Fund and educational programs. To participate as a sponsor of this year’s event, please contact Sherri Snow at ssnow@nempacboston.org or 617-227-2270 by March 1st 2018.
