Beginner Group Piano: Gr 2 - 3 (Full Year)
North End - Wednesdays, 3:25 – 4:10pm
Grade: 2 – 3
This piano class is for beginners in grades 2-3, who will receive individualized attention in a group setting – learning basic piano skills and music theory. Students will learn and identify all notes on the keyboard and begin playing simple melodies and basic songs. The group will work through their piano book throughout the year, covering rhythm skills along with duet and ensemble playing later in the year. The class will have transitions from review time, learning new repertoire, one-on-one attention, and musical activities. FOR FULL YEAR SECTIONS: Students must have at minimum a 32-key mini keyboard (a Casio SA-46 or similar) and are expected to spend time practicing at home!
