Open Mic Night continues at Boston Public Market in 2025!
Partnerships with Boston Public Market and Castle Island Brewing Company allow us to expand into the Boston Community, reaching even more artists, welcoming new and exciting musical performances of all creative expressions.

Friday, March 14th, 6 PM – 8 PM @ Boston Public Market
Friday, April 11th, 6 PM – 8 PM @ Boston Public Market
Who: ANYONE can sign up to perform as long as they are 18+, and all are welcome to attend. Performers from the Boston community, as well as faculty and adult students from our music school, are invited to participate regardless of age, experience or instrument!

History of Open Mic Nights
NEMPAC began hosting its weekly Open Mic Nights every Friday since April 3rd, 2020. From there, the event transformed into a way for people to share music together to spread peace and comfort during unprecedented times.
Each week was hosted by a different NEMPAC administrator, and performers from our music school, the Boston community, adults, youth, and faculty alike, were invited to participate regardless of age, experience, instrument, or geographical location.
We heard a wide array of music from show tunes and opera, to jazz and rock. Quickly, the event became a staple in the North End and Charlestown. Organizations and other public figures began to sponsor the event to keep our Open Mic Nights running free and virtually. After a successful 2022-23 season in-person at our 50 Tileston Street state-of-the-art Community Music Center, we were thrilled to not only bring this event back for our 2023-24 season, but to be expanding into the great North End Community by hosting at Boston Public Market, allowing us to reach more artists of all ages and abilities!
