Jessica Yuma

Piano Instructor

Jessica Yuma is a multifaceted classical pianist with an interest in spreading joy and fostering connection through music. She began piano studies at the age of three and cello and vocal studies at the ages of 13 and 18. She has an undergraduate degree from the New England Conservatory and is currently in the masters program studying with Bruce Brubaker and Marc-Andrew Hamelin. In the past few years, she has won awards such as the Orford Musique award, Canadian Chopin Competition and was a participant in the international Chopin competition 2021. She continues to strive for excellence in playing and teaching through programs such as the Tanglewood Music Center, in which she is a 2025 and 26 fellow. Jessica focuses on creativity and individually paced development with a belief that everybody has the capacity to enrich their lives and the lives of others through music!
