Dear NEMPAC Community,
We are writing to affirm our organizational values of equity, excellence, collaboration, creativity, and love, and want to remind everyone at NEMPAC of our commitment and legal obligations to provide a safe and brave space for our community members:
– All individuals are welcome and encouraged to participate in NEMPAC’s lessons, classes, and events regardless of ability, gender, sex, race, national origin, economic status, sexual orientation, or religious background.
– We hold all NEMPAC student, family, and constituent information privately.
– No unauthorized adult has permission to enter our NEMPAC facilities or spaces without legal authority.
– NEMPAC does not tolerate or accept racism of any kind, in any form. We have zero-tolerance for discriminatory behavior and follow strict actionable guidelines linked here in our Anti-Racism Policy and Action Plan
– NEMPAC is committed to programs that bring together and celebrate individuals and/or groups of people of varying opinions, experiences, beliefs, and backgrounds – to spark conversation, build understanding, listen to perspectives, and unite the community.
– NEMPAC supports inclusivity across all aspects of programming that includes pronoun circles, gender inclusive and accessible facilities, and building a feedback culture. See our full inclusion plan here.
– Students at NEMPAC will have access to high quality performing arts education, regardless of immigration status, race and ethnicity, the language they speak, or the area of the city they live in.
We are committed to becoming a more diverse and inclusive organization by overcoming the disparities and inequities that exist through the services we provide, the people we reach, the workplace culture we foster, and the outcomes we achieve. This is the defining work of our time and essential to our long-term relevance and impact.
We will remain YOUR community music school and performing arts center.
