We celebrated our 7th Annual Soirée on the Prado Fundraiser supporting our educational and performance programs, on Thursday, September 21st, raising over $100,000!
We honored two members of the organization at the Soirée for their many years of contributions: Ramin Khoshatefeh, President and CEO of Enlabel Corporation and NEMPAC board member of 8 years, as well as Xiaolan Ruan, NEMPAC piano faculty member of 18 years. The event featured several faculty members performing during the cocktail hour, including Jack Byrne (guitar and vocal), Brooks Berg (violin), Bailey Kolapudi (voice), and Harriet Hung (piano), as well as two youth student performers, Ferdinand Carangelo (piano) and Harper Racine (voice). The evening culminated with a set of music from songwriter, producer, educator and vocalist, Nadia Washington, who has performed with renowned artists in R&B and Jazz, including Esperanza Spalding, Lalah Hathaway, and Diane Reeves.
The more than $100,000 of funds raised will support the robust and diverse educational programs, for classes in music, theatre, and dance, and for private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums, trumpet, piano, French horn, and so many others. NEMPAC employs over 40 faculty members who represent a variety of disciplines. The Soirée on the Prado also provides funding in support of NEMPAC’s professional performing arts season, including our annual Opera Project performance, free Jazz in the Park Summer Series, and a wide array of concerts throughout the season.
A big thank you to all of our attendees, supporters, donors, board, staff, and volunteers!
