Adult Beginner Guitar is an introductory group class designed for adults ages 18+ who are interested in learning guitar in a fun, supportive, and low-pressure environment. Perfect for complete beginners as well as former students returning to the instrument, this class focuses on building confidence through guided instruction and group music-making.
Students will learn foundational guitar skills including basic chords, strumming patterns, rhythm, and simple songs while developing comfort with the instrument and strengthening overall musicianship skills. Class time encourages steady progress, creativity, and community-building through collaborative playing and interactive musical activities designed especially for adult learners.
Whether students are picking up a guitar for the first time or returning to music after time away, this class provides a welcoming introduction to playing and making music together.
The fall session runs September 15 – November 3, 2026 in the North End.
Adult Guitar Club

Adult Guitar Club is a welcoming group music experience for adults ages 18+ who have taken beginner classes, private lessons, or already have some prior experience playing guitar. Designed for continuing students and community members alike, this club offers a relaxed and supportive environment where participants can continue building skills while making music together.
Through group playing, singing, improvisation, and collaborative musical activities, participants will strengthen confidence on the guitar while exploring a variety of musical styles and accompaniment techniques. Activities and repertoire are adaptable for different experience levels, allowing newer and more experienced players to learn alongside one another in a supportive community setting. Depending on the interests of the group, students may also explore fingerpicking patterns, scales, improvisation, and more advanced chords.
With a flexible, drop-in friendly structure designed to support busy adult schedules, participants are welcome to join throughout the 16-week session and participate at their own comfort level and pace. Whether students are returning to music after time away or simply looking for a fun and social way to continue playing, Adult Guitar Club encourages creativity, connection, and lifelong music-making.
The fall session runs September 15 – January 12, 2027 in the North End.
