We’re all in this together this Spring for the Junior Troupers to join the Spring Musical, High School Musical Jr!
The Junior Troupers program gives our actors ages 6-8 a chance to shine as featured dancers in one number of our Spring Mainstage Musical – High School Musical JR! They will perform alongside the main cast in a production number on the mainstage! Students will sign up for one of two casts: The North End cast (meets Mondays) or the Charlestown cast (meets Thursdays). They will rehearse for 4 weeks with their teacher and then each cast will join the main cast for two tech/dress rehearsals and two shows at the Charlestown High School, open to the general public!
The remaining five weeks will consist of students working with their teacher on their own “revue” of songs, dances, and scenes from High School Musical, with a “shareformance” for families on the 10th and final class.
About the Show: Disney Channel’s smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage in Disney’s High School Musical JR. Now updated to the convenient binder version! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra curricular activities. The show’s infectious, danceable songs are sure to engage performers and audiences alike.
It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the “status quo,” Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.
Musical Theatre Class (Ages 4-6)
Wednesdays from 3:25 - 4:10pm in the North End | Tuesdays from 4:30 - 5:15 pm and 5:20 - 6:05 pm in Charlestown

Act! Sing! Dance! This class will explore storytelling using students’ voices, bodies, and imaginations! They will participate in improvisation and acting games while exploring topics, plots, and characters from a different theme for each session. Characters will come alive as we use music and theatre to explore storytelling in a new way!

Each week, students will learn, rehearse, and perform scenes, songs, and choreography from both trendy new musicals and the classic shows we all love. With individualized coaching and plenty of opportunities to shine, this class is perfect for any budding Broadway star looking to grow in confidence and skills.
