Kids Piano Discovery (10 week Program) (Ages 5-6)
Mondays from 5:20 - 6:05 p.m. in Charlestown or Fridays from 3:25 – 4:10 p.m in the North End
Age: 5-6
Fall Registration Opens June 16
In this group instruction setting (between 3 – 5 students), our youngest musicians in grades K2-1 will receive individualized attention in a group setting – learning basic piano skills and music theory through musical enrichment activities that incorporate hands-on instrument playing, movement, arts and crafts, singing, and rhythm games. Students will learn finger numbers and patterns, identify quarter and half notes, and basic piano etiquette and how to apply it to the keyboard! The class will consist of warm-ups and our hello song, musical show and tells, a musical enrichment activity, the keyboard lesson of the day, stretch breaks and transitions, and a goodbye song.
This is a great program for students who want a taster 10-week introduction to musicality through the keyboard! If your student is ready to commit to more than 10-weeks, our 30-week program expands what is learned in our 10-week class to gain greater musical knowledge and understanding through the exploration of the keyboard, while learning basic piano skills through specific musical games and activities.
Class Outcomes: Basic Theory, Finger Numbers, and ABC’s of Music

Identify quarter and half notes and how to apply them to keyboard
