We are pleased to announce our 10th annual Performathon on Saturday, April 6th from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Boston Public Market to benefit Educational Programming and our Tuition Assistance program. 

This fun-filled community event will feature over 50 student and faculty performers who will showcase their talents. Performances will feature individual performers, including singers, and instrumentalists, as well as student ensembles representing the Eliot Band, Music Ensemble, and cast members from “Oliver! Jr.”

This event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. The event will also be live-streamed for at-home viewers.

Validated parking available at the Haymarket Center Garage (entrance on Sudbury St).  

The Boston Public Market is located directly above the Haymarket MBTA station (Orange and Green Lines, MBTA bus routes) and three blocks from North Station (Commuter Rail & Amtrak, Orange and Green Lines). Bike parking is located directly outside the Market on the plaza opposite the Greenway. Two Hubway bike share stations are located nearby, on Cross Street across the Greenway and on Congress Street along the side of City Hall.

ACCESSIBILITY: Boston Public Market is fully accessible, including wheelchair access.

💬  TALK to your instructor to make sure you have something to perform in front of an audience! 

✍️  SIGN UP! Fill out the SIGN UP FORM and you will get your performance time within 48 hours and your welcome packet starting March 4 as a hard copy either via mail or by pickup AND via email to you with your pledge cards, pledge sheet, and important info.

✅  INDICATE on the sign up form your preferred time slot, your student’s name, instructor, how long they’ve been taking lessons at NEMPAC, age/grade, instrument, and song. 

🕗 Time Slots: There are 7 – 12 slots available in each hour (11 a.m, 12 p.m, 1 p.m, 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.) Please indicate which time slots are your first through fifth choices. We will update the sign up form as slots fill up. If you do not own your own instrument at home, please let us know so we can accommodate you the day of. 

💰  FUNDRAISE! All performers will receive a fundraiser page to begin collecting pledges. Once it is set up, we will give you the login details to customize as you wish (siblings will have one joint page).


👐   GIVING BACK TO THEIR FELLOW STUDENTS –  Every dollar raised this year will go DIRECTLY to NEMPAC’s Educational Programming and Tuition Assistance Program. Every year, this is a wonderful opportunity for NEMPAC students to give back to other students in their community who cannot

otherwise afford lessons or classes. By performing and collecting pledges, this peer-to-peer fundraising enhances our community engagement and gives students a sense of accomplishment in doing something for their peers.

🎶 BENEFITS OF LIVE PERFORMANCE – Performing in a concert, recital or event is so important for music students! It gives them a chance to work on their performance skills, support their fellow student musicians, and show off their months of hard work! It gives the students something to work toward and prepare for and provides a special event that they’ll remember for years to come.


🥇 Pledge Prizes: The top 3 students who collect the most pledges this year will win something very special! 

🗳️ Nomination Prizes: NEMPAC administration and faculty will be nominating and choosing 3 students to win a superlative award for their work in their        lessons and classes! 

📸 Professional Photo Shoot Opportunity: The first TWELVE students to sign up will be able to join our Performer Photo Shoot on Sunday, March 10th      from 12:30 – 2:30pm. Students will be professionally photographed with their instrument. Photos will be sent to families and be featured in NEMPAC                              marketing materials and on our Performer Board throughout the Pledge Me Campaign!

🎟 Raffle Entry: All students who sign up by the March 4th deadline will also receive one raffle ticket to be entered into a raffle package of their choosing. 

🛍️ Goody Bags: EVERY performer who collects pledges will receive a special goody bag!
