NEMPAC is very excited to welcome Emma Davis-Oeth to our organization! Emma is currently accepting new cello students of all ages and levels. Emma recently finished her Master of Music degree in violoncello performance at the New England Conservatory. She began her undergraduate performance studies at the Eastman School of Music, and in 2008 graduated with honors from the University of Iowa with Bachelor degrees in both music performance and art history. As an active performer, Emma has endorsed collaborative projects bringing the music of modern composers to a variety of venues, from Jordan Hall to the classrooms of public elementary schools. Emma currently performs as a member of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and Discovery Ensemble, while working as a freelance musician in Boston. She attended the Aspen Music Festival and School as an orchestral fellow and teacher in the community music education division for three years. Emma currently works at ArtsBoston, a non-profit arts organization dedicated to representing more than 170 theater, music and dance groups throughout Boston.
