Another great week was had by all at the NEMPAC musical theatre summer workshop. For the second week in a row, a very talented group of kids, age 5-11, participated in this intensive theatre workshop.
Once again the troupe’s days were full of music and learning. In the morning, each student participated in music, dance and theatre rotations, where they learned their group and solo material for the show. In the afternoon, they continued in their theatre and music rotations, as well as built and painted the sets for their performance!
Their hard work paid off as each participant shined during their end of week presentation. Musical and dance numbers ranged from The Lion King and Greece to classics such as West Side Story, Oliver and The King and I!
Lead by NEMPAC faculty Sherri Snow, Hillary Denison, Rachel Carpentier, Alexandra Dietrich and Rebecca Rapoport-Cole, the students put on another remarkable performance and left the workshop with a greater sense of confidence and strengthened musical and theatrical abilities.
NEMPAC will continue to run a weekly musical theatre program Wednesdays, 4-5 pm from July 25th to August 22nd, as well as a private instruction program during the summer. Please visit nempacboston.org for more details.
