The North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) and The Charlestown Working Theater (CWT) are expanding their partnership to include a collaborative holiday performance featuring children from Charlestown and the North End, to be performed at the CWT in early December. The production (which NEMPAC previously announced) will be ELF Jr! THE MUSICAL – the hilarious and heartwarming theatrical adaptation of the classic holiday movie- and will be led by staff from both organizations, directed by Alexandra Meek from NEMPAC. It’s an exciting collaboration that combines the strengths and resources of two of the area’s leading arts education organizations.
Last January, NEMPAC began to offer piano and voice lessons once per week at the CWT. Students include children from both CWT and NEMPAC. It’s an exciting step forward to embark on this fun production together. CWT also collaborates with the Actors’ Shakespeare Project on educational programs and performances for teens and young adults.
NEMPAC looks forward to this wonderful collaboration for our special Music Theatre Troupe Holiday Production. Together, the combined resources from both NEMPAC and CWT will make for a truly meaningful theater experience for our troupe participants (open to children in Grades 2 to 7).

NEMPAC Music Theatre Stage Director and Program Director will be in touch with students who are currently enrolled for our Fall 2016 Production. Any schedule changes will be communicated and updated on our website.
