NEMPAC was happy to host the North End Pride Flag Raising with our partners the Queer Neighborhood Council to show our support for the LGBTQIA+ community in Boston and around the country. We were joined by city leaders,and elected officials—including Boston City Councilor Gabriella Coletta-Zapata and Boston City Councilor-at-Large Henry Santana—for a heartfelt celebration of Pride in the North End at the footsteps of our NEMPAC Prado Studios.
In addition to the flag raising and some very moving remarks from our elected officials and our friends at the Queer Neighborhood Council, we were serenaded two of NEMPAC’s faculty artists: Jayson Banton and Luping Xu. We want to thank them for sharing their artistry and their support for social justice with everyone gathered!
