NEMPAC had the honor of participating in a prelude performance before the Boston Landmarks Orchestra performed at the Hatch Shell on August 13th. We put together a group of 13 elite youth vocalists—our Summer Singers—who took to the stage—traveling “under the sea” for some wonderful ocean themed choir selections.

We want to give a big shoutout to our NEMAPC Summer Singers Music Director, Jayson Banton, and Accompanist, Harriet Hung, for leading our young artists through this very special performance.

The Boston Landmarks Orchestra took to the stage after our Summer Singers, to perform Debussy and other ocean-inspired classical music, including works by Korngold, Ravel, Paul Edward Gay, Arthur Sullivan, Samuel Barber, and Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov.

A big thank you to Boston Landmarks Orchestra and the New England Aquarium for inviting us to perform!
