Here is what we have planned at NEMPAC for the August, 19th- 23rd week!
1) Our second to last workshop is on the tradition of Choral Music. Singing with others is a fun and popular way to get involved in making music. This workshop is taught by Rachel Carpentier ( NEMPAC piano, flute and women’s chorus instructor) and Claire Shepro. Workshop participants will be exposed to the practice of choral music and do some singing!

1:00 pm – 2:00pm, Ages 11+
2:30 pm – 3:30pm, Ages 11 and under

2) Following our Monday choral workshop, we will be hosting a choral concert, Thursday, August 22nd at 7:00 pm at Old North Church titled, Across the Atlantic:Tracing a Tradition of choral music from Spain to the New World. Conducted by Rachel Carpentier, this concert will be a gift to all our North End choral lovers. Never seen a choir perform? Come stop by Old North Church Thursday night and check out this choral octet!
3) Fall is almost here, which means it is time to register for NEMPAC fall classes! Join us for the NEMPAC open house and learn more about our Private Music Instruction Program (PMI), our Group Music Instruction Program, as well as our various classes and workshops!

**Fall PMI and group private instruction deadline is Aug 30th. Lessons begin the week of September 9th and run for 12 weeks. Class registration deadline is September 6th. All classes begin the week of the September 16th and run for 10 weeks.**
