With Keys 4 Kids  pledge-a-thong in its final week, the students of the Private Music Instruction Program are still eagerly collecting pledges in exchange for their practice time. They are also excited to show off their hard work at the spring recital on Saturday, June 7, 2014 on the Prado at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Though some might say they’re more excited for the celebratory reception and Keys 4 Kids awards ceremony afterwards!

Aoefe O’Donnell practices her musical posture.

Carlo Croncini tackles a tough new piece.

You can support Aoefe and Carlo, as well as any other of our students with your pledge online here.

As Keys 4 Kids comes to a close, NEMPAC would like to highlight the goals we are hoping to reach by the conclusion of this campaign. We wanted to raise funds for our Child Scholarship Program, which allows kids  to participate in music lessons that otherwise might be unable to.

We also set a goal to buy new practice instruments for studios, namely a new piano! Our front-room piano (see below) is beautiful in the morning light, yet it has a broken sound board as well as a broken foot pedal. We would like to be able to replace this older piano with a properly working one, enabling our students to take even more out of their studies each lesson.

Thank you to our Keys 4 Kids neighborhood sponsors!
