The North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is returning to the Prado (Paul Revere Mall) this summer for an exciting schedule of free public concerts on Thursday Nights this July!

NEMPAC has an open call for musicians/performers interested in performing in our NEMPAC Summer Concert Series Community Night on Thursday, July 13th between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Stage and professional sound will be provided by the City of Boston, Special Events and NEMPAC. Priority will be given to North End community members or residents, although we encourage musicians from the surrounding communities of Boston to apply.

WHAT: NEMPAC Summer Concert Series Community Night, Call for Musicians!
WHERE: The Prado, Paul Revere Mall. North End, Boston MA
WHEN: Thursday, July 13, 2017 / 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
WHO: Amateur or professional musicians, bands, or ensembles of any musical genre interested in showcasing their musical talents by performing in this North End Concert Series.

Interested Musicians Must:

  • Apply to NEMPAC by Friday, May 19th to be considered
  • Will be included in marketing and press materials for the series
  • Should have a music set no less than 30 minutes
  • Be a solo musician or ensemble
  • All musicians must be over the age of 17

We are offering selected musicians or performance groups a small performance stipend in addition to practice/rehearsal space. Practice room space will be made available at our NEMPAC facility located on the Prado at least once per week during the month of June, any weekday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

We understand there is a community of musicians among us here in the North End and surrounding neighborhoods. Whether you’re a closet musician, have always wanted to get your talented friends together for a formalized concert, or maybe you’re in a professional band – we want YOU to get involved with your local music center.

About the NEMPAC Summer Concert Series:

The NEMPAC Summer Concert Series is run in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Special Events at City of Boston and is sponsored by NorthEndBoston.com.

The series founded in 2011, the North End Music and Performing Arts Center aimed to activate the beautiful North End public parks with live music and provide a gathering place for our local community. The series has been featured in both the Paul Revere Mall and in recent years at the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. Bands like Eight to the Bar, The Ivy Leaf and Scanzonatti have been featured. Concert rain locations for 2017: TBA.
