Kayla Farnsworth

Kayla is thrilled to begin her first year as a piano and woodwinds teacher at NEMPAC! Originally from New Mexico, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Instrumental Education from Brigham Young University, where she focused on both classroom and private music instruction. She moved to Boston to pursue a Master’s of Oboe Performance at Boston University and has enjoyed the thriving cultural and music scene she has found here.

As a beneficiary of childhood music education, Kayla believes in the importance of the arts in a student’s life. As a teacher with NEMPAC, she is committed to increasing music education access to all students. She aims to provide a space for students to safely make mistakes as they improve, and to foster a life-long curiosity and love for music of all kinds in them. She looks forward to a fun year of music-making!
