February 27th marks the beginning of NEMPAC’s annual “Pledge Me” Perform-a-thon Campaign, with the goal of raising $2,500 in pledges for Children’s Music Scholarships. The Perform-a-thon, NEMPAC’s Annual Fundraising Concert, will take place on Saturday, April 8th at THE KITCHEN at the Boston Public Market, featuring a four hour straight show of NEMPAC students and instructors performing on the instrument of their choice and special performances from groups such as our Youth Improv Class and the Eliot Music Ensemble.

Participating students and instructors will begin collecting pledges for their performances at this event, banding together to support the NEMPAC Scholarship Fund. NEMPAC awards over $5,000 each year in children’s need-based music scholarships, providing an opportunity for over 20 children to participate in private lessons, after-school music classes, or to experience week-long intensive music camps during the summer.
This year, all pledges up to $2,500 are being co-matched by our generous sponsors – meaning all pledges will be tripled. In order to provide the support needed to local students, NEMPAC has increased its scholarship budget to a goal of $7,500 for 2017-18.
