As NEMPAC continues to grow, we are excited to announce an updated leadership structure that strengthens how we serve our community through music and the performing arts. This evolution enhances coordination across our expanding programs, supports the continued development of our faculty and teaching artists, and deepens our commitment to providing accessible, exceptional arts experiences throughout Boston.
We congratulate Jhon Alvarado on his new position as Director of Community Music School (CMS) and recognize Morgan Flynn in her new position as Director of Performing Arts and Outreach (PAO). Together, Jhon and Morgan will provide leadership and oversight across NEMPAC’s diverse programming, spanning private music instruction, ensembles, musical theatre, dance, early childhood arts, school partnerships, and community-based performances and events.
In their respective leadership roles, Jhon will guide the continued growth and development of the Community Music School, supporting high-quality music education and meaningful learning opportunities for students of all ages and abilities. Morgan will lead NEMPAC’s Performing Arts Center and Outreach initiatives, advancing theatrical and dance programming, early childhood arts experiences, school partnerships, and community engagement through performances and events. Together, their work will help ensure strong connections across our programs while honoring the distinct educational, artistic, and community-building goals of each.
This leadership structure reflects NEMPAC’s continued investment in program excellence, faculty support, and organizational growth. By strengthening leadership across our music education, performing arts, and outreach initiatives, we are better positioned to cultivate meaningful artistic experiences, expand access to the arts, and build lasting connections with the communities we serve.
We are proud of the talented team driving NEMPAC forward and look forward to the continued growth of vibrant, inclusive arts opportunities for students, families, and communities across Boston.
