The North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is growing and expanding, and with this growth comes new opportunities for leadership.
We have big goals ahead and look forward to welcoming new members to our Board of Directors in 2026, just in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our founding in 2001!
NEMPAC’s mission is to enrich lives through accessible, exceptional music education and performing arts programs that embrace our vibrant, inclusive, and diverse communities.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the mission, and join a dynamic, community-driven organization at a pivotal time in our journey. Over the past year, we’ve witnessed firsthand how powerful the arts can be in bringing people together. We are deeply proud of NEMPAC’s work to unite our community and provide children with creative outlets to form community through music, dance, and theatre.
If you are passionate about the arts and interested in helping guide NEMPAC’s mission to enrich lives through accessible music and performing arts education, we invite you to apply to join our Board of Directors. Board members play a vital role as champions for the arts in our Boston neighborhoods and ambassadors for our mission.
Key Expectations of Board Members:
–Attend monthly Board Meetings (first Wednesday each month at 6:30 PM, we have a mix of hybrid and in-person meetings and break during July/August)
–Support our signature September fundraiser, the Soiree
–Act as an advocate and ambassador for the organization within the City of Boston and surrounding areas
–Participate on at least one Sub-Committee: Finance, Fundraising, DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging), Tuition Assistance, or Real Estate/Development
–Value and advocate for the arts, fully believing in the power of NEMPAC’s mission
–Adhere to NEMPAC’s Board of Directors Give / Get Policy supporting the organization’s annual fundraising goals.
