Congratulations to Mackenzie Coleman, NEMPAC’s Student of the Month for May!

Since joining NEMPAC in 2022, Mackenzie has grown into a dynamic and dedicated young musician. Currently studying both voice and guitar, she brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong work ethic to every lesson and performance.

Mackenzie’s instructors consistently highlight not only her musical progress, but also her vibrant personality and willingness to embrace the learning process. Voice instructor Bailey Kolapudi shares, “Mackenzie is such a fun student and always works hard to get her songs performance ready. As vocalists, we sometimes have to be vulnerable and make silly sounds while learning. Mackenzie embraces that process—she’s able to laugh, try new things, and apply those techniques to her repertoire. It was incredible to see her shine on stage this year at the Performathon and High School Musical. She truly lights up the stage!”

Her growth extends beyond individual lessons and into ensemble work as well. Guitar instructor Stephen Allen notes, “Mackenzie is a dedicated and passionate music student who puts her fun personality into everything she does. It has been a pleasure to watch her grow into a well-rounded musician and performer.”

In NEMPAC’s Pop Ensemble, Mackenzie has also made a lasting impression. Instructor Anissa Perona shares, “Mackenzie is so fun and funny, and such a great addition to the group. She’s incredibly passionate about singing and comes prepared, learning her parts with care. She brings a positive attitude, connects easily with her peers, and has been a joy to have in the ensemble this year.”

From the classroom to the stage, Mackenzie exemplifies what it means to be a NEMPAC student—committed, collaborative, and full of joy. We are so proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to see what she does next. Congratulations, Mackenzie!
