Not even the threat of thunderstorms could keep away the hundreds of participants and spectators at this past weekend’s 9th Annual North End Cornhole Classic on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.  Proceeds from this event go to support the Marshall Scholarship Fund, allowing for expanded access to performing arts education at both the North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) and the Community Music Center of Boston (CMCB).

This year’s event brought together an enthusiastic crowd of people including Boston Mayor, Michelle Wu, and Governor, Maura Healey, among many others.

Bravo to NEMPAC student alum singer Soleil Desai for her beautiful rendition of the National Anthem.  And congratulations to the 1st place winners of this year’s North End Cornhole Classic, Joe Regan and TJ Snediker.

A huge thank you to House Ways and Means Chair & State Representative Aaron Michlewitz for once again bringing this beloved event to life. And thank you to the wonderful hosts and partners at the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

Shoutout to the dynamic MCs Tevin Wooten and Penny Kmitt for keeping the energy high all day long, Ed Kane and Big Night Live for the fantastic setup, DJ Kareem for the beats, Ward 8 for the bar, Pauli’s for lunch, and The Daily Catch, Cini’s and Ducali for their contributions.

Finally, thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, participants, and supporters—your enthusiasm and generosity made the day truly unforgettable. Because of you, the arts continue to thrive and remain accessible across Boston.
