Featuring flutist Orlando Cela and pianists Carmen Rodriguez-Peralta & Christina Wright-Ivanova
This concert will showcase aspects of Education, Culture, and Identity, with ties to El Sistema, through our guest artist, Orlando Cela, who will play on a Native American flute. Music from Venezuela, Peru, Germany, the Lakota People, and more will be presented.
This concert is part of a series of concerts celebrating different cultures in their uniqueness, sometimes intersecting, clashing, or harmonizing. This series is a meet-the-artist experience that will spotlight musical identities and cultural history, artistically directed by Christina Wright-Ivanova.
Doors at 50 Tileston will open at 6:30 PM for a wine and cheese reception available to all ticket holders including season pass holders. The concert will begin at 7:30 PM with one brief intermission.
Please note that the March 23rd concert will take place at 50 Tileston Street (NEMPAC’s Headquarters) in the North End.
