Kristi Scaccia is a French horn performer, educator, and ensemble leader whose work bridges classical excellence with contemporary collaboration. A Florida native, she holds degrees in Horn Performance from Florida State University and the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, where she studied with renowned artists David Johnson and Alessio Allegrini.
Kristi has performed internationally with ensembles including Orchestra Fiati della Svizzera Italiana and the Lugano Chamber Orchestra, with appearances in Vatican City and across Europe. Her versatile career spans orchestral, chamber, and cross-genre projects, including recent collaborations blending horn with electric bass. As leader of her sextet ensemble, she brings together dynamic musicians to explore bold, genre-spanning repertoire with a focus on expressive, collaborative performance.
In addition to her performing work, Kristi is a dedicated educator and teaching artist with the North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) and Eliot K–8 School in Boston, where she inspires the next generation of musicians.
