Come Sing with Us!
Gathered at the Prado (Paul Revere Mall) in the historic North End of Boston, we will sing classic carols conducted by NEMPAC Community Choir music director Anna Samoilova, joined by singers from NEMPAC students, faculty, and artists. The gathering will include performances by the NEMPAC Community Holiday Choir, the NEMPAC Music Ensemble, a special NEMPAC Faculty Band Feature, and an interactive community sing. Hot chocolate and treats will be served following the event.
Please RSVP to attend HERE by Dec 7th!
Caroling lyric booklets (with harmony parts for our more advanced singers) will be provided digitally (we will have a QR code at the event and send a digital copy to registrants beforehand).
*This is a family-friendly event open to all ages. Attendees should plan to bring phones, iPads, or tablets preferred for digital access to sheet music for the sing-a-long portion. We will have some printed copies available.
This event is supported by Mayor Michelle Wu, the City of Boston Office of Special Events, and NEMPAC Annual Donors. If you would like to support NEMPAC’s Annual Holiday Campaign – and future programs like these – please donate today.
Sherri Snow, Executive Director, has been involved in NEMPAC’s programs for over four years. Ms. Snow began at NEMPAC as the Private Music Instruction Coordinator where she founded several NEMPAC programs including the Children’s Music Theatre Troupe, the Summer and Winter Concert Series, the Group Private Instruction Program, and co-founded the Opera Project. Becoming Executive Director in February of 2013, Ms. Snow increased relationships within the community and developed partnerships with several organizations, including the Landmarks Orchestra, The Improv Asylum, the St. John Catholic School, Good Shepherd School and the Eliot Innovation School. Under her leadership, NEMPAC has growth to serve over 900 students per week through our arts programming, it has received over $40,000 in annual grant funding from government and private foundations, and has increased the overall presence of art and culture in the North End / Waterfront community. She has also encouraged the growth of NEMPAC as a “performing arts center” by increasing performance opportunities for students, instructors, and professional musicians in the Boston and New England Area.
Ms. Snow received her Master’s Degree in Opera Performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, and her Bachelors Degree in Music from Boston University. She also has three years of Corporate Finance Asset Management experience working at State Street Global in downtown Boston. In combination with her Business experience and her Artistic abilities, Ms. Snow is excited to be leading this ‘gem’ of a non-profit as a highly-established, respectable community arts organization.
