Opera on the Prado

NEMPAC’s pop-up Opera on the Prado features Boston-based emerging artists performing in the most historic and beautiful park in the North End. Located on the Freedom Trail, next to the Paul Revere Statue and just behind Old North Church, passersby, neighbors, and friends can catch singers performing.  This concert performed on the Prado features an “Oktoberfest” theme of German classical music.

Dylan Evans

Dylan Evans, baritone

Baritone Dylan Evans (he/him) is an international artist who has performed all over the United States and Canada. Most recently, Mr. Evans covered the title role in Verdi’s Rigoletto with Boston Summer Opera and premiered a new folk opera by Steven Bergman titled Murder, Meth and Mayhem, performing as Slim/Judge. He debuted with New York Lyric Opera as Papageno in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and as Dr. Falke in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus. Other roles include Eisenstein, Sid, King Melchior, Peter, Count Almaviva, Marco, Der Sprecher, Motorcycle Cop/Guard 1, and Don Giovanni.


Naré Kim

Naré Kim, soprano

Korean soprano Naré Kim (she/her), acclaimed for her “highly expressive phrasing” and “shimmering warmth of sound,” has performed with MassOpera, Boston Singers’ Resource, and Korea National Opera. Her roles include Morgana, Sidonie, Night, Zerlina, Hanna, Musetta, and Mimì. She holds degrees from Seoul National University and was an Apprenticeship Artist at San Diego Opera. She earned first prize in the La Jolla Symphony Young Artist Competition and second prize in the Virginia Hawk Competition.


Jacob Lyte-Haven

Jacob LyteHaven, pianist

Jacob LyteHaven (he/him) holds degrees in Piano and Vocal Performance from Stetson University and a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano from Boston University. He has performed across the U.S., Europe, and Central America, and has worked as a staff pianist and vocal coach at several institutions. Currently, he is a collaborative pianist, teacher, and coach based in Greater Boston.
