North End Music and Performing Arts Centers (NEMPAC) is partnering with the Boston Landmarks Orchestra for a special Children’s Italian Music Concert at the Hatch Shell on August 5th. Youth singers of all ability levels are invited to participate. We will not turn down any student due to 
program costs. This is an exceptional opportunity and we want children living in Boston to be able to take part.
As part of the Vocal Arts program, the children will attend workshops July 27 – 31 to learn singing techniques. This will include quality of tone, ear training, group singing and intonation. There will also be a focus on Italian language and diction. The Musical Director from the Boston Landmarks Orchestra will join us for vocal instruction during the week of workshops. Children will also be given two (30 minute) private voice lessons.

Workshop Dates: July 27 – 31, 2015
Grades 2 – 7
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – Noon
Location: 9 Hull Street
*Students may enroll in a half-day option, which is 9:00 am – Noon
Requirements: Students MUST attend the rehearsals July 27 – 31, as well as the dress rehearsal in the evening on Monday, August 3rd, if they would like to perform in the Final Performance at the Hatchshell on Wednesday, August 5th, with the Landmarks Orchestra. Transportation to the dress rehearsal on August 3rd at WGBH studios will be provided from the North End.
